Merger Planned for The Episcopal Home Communities and
The Scripps Home
The Episcopal Home Communities and The Scripps Home are planning to merge the operations of The Scripps Home, located in Altadena, into the operations of Scripps Kensington. On September 5, 2006, private announcements were made simultaneously to the residents at Scripps Kensington and The Scripps Home. The announcement became public on September 6th.
Following unanimous votes of both Boards, the two organizations have signed a letter of intent to pursue a merger. It is hoped that the agreement will be formalized by the end of 2006.
