The mission of the activities program team is to encourage Scripps Kensington's residents to benefit each day by participating in stimulating, interesting, fun activities and events both at Scripps Kensington and in the community at large. We keep minds stimulated with monthly book reviews, the library (always open), the computer lab with Internet access and computer instruction available, and an extensive Video/DVD collection. We celebrate cultural events, such as Cinco de Mayo. We have community petsm, which include birds, fish and cats. Worship services are led by our Chaplain in the charming Chapel; in addition, we have Prayer and Praise Services, weekly Bible Study and Devotions, and small group support get-togethers. We encourage all our residents to participate in life, as fully as their conditions permit, through activities that touch the whole person: in body, mind and spirit.
